Do you want to learn how to take an old manure spreader and repurpose it for a wood hauler?
We are always looking for ways to save money by using what we have around the farm. We are in the process of getting our wood stove up and running this winter. Deciding to make use of a New Idea 362 Manure spreader by removing the parts was the first step of the project. We put the salvageable parts aside that we may need for another piece of farm equipment and then took time to put a floor into it. The entire project takes around 4-6 hours to complete and costs around $150. We even take the new project out to test it’s usability and it hauls the load back through the hilly woods using the Farmall 350 utility without any issue.
All in all, a great project to make a convenient and cost effective way to haul a cord of wood in, completing within one weekend. Tell us about your projects, we would love to hear about them!
