Welcome Back

We are excited that Spring has sprung and hope that you are enjoying the breaks in the cold and wind to get started on some of the field work to prepare for the planting season that is upon us. Today we are sharing the process of a springtime harvest of corn with our International Harvester 1460.

You will see that half of the adventure is making a way through the array of tractors and equipment parked in the shed. Our golden retriever Oliver is quite the help and we soon found out that the process involved jump starting one of the IH 1486 tractors with a Farmall 350 in order to get it moved out of the way. Once we finally get the combine out we did the final walk-around to make sure everything was ready to run.

Heading down the road along the Upper Iowa River we were surrounded by the beautiful hillsides and plenty of sunshine before arriving to the state land acres. We found that there was still a decent amount of corn to be harvested, even after the wildlife had their fill of food over the winter.
